Dos & Don'ts

HOTSPOT1 setup guidelines and deployment best practices.

DO

  • 📍 Mount your HOTSPOT1 securely in a location with clear line-of-sight to maximize coverage.

  • 🔌 Use the included PoE (Power over Ethernet) adapter or a compatible PoE switch to power the device.

  • 🏢 Deploy in commercial areas - such as cafes, retail stores, co-working spaces, or public venues - to earn rewards on the Karrier One network.

  • 🧭 Onboard your HOTSPOT1 through the Karrier One Dashboard to activate and begin earning.

  • 🆘 Reach out to support if your device shows unusual behavior (e.g., unexpected LED patterns).


DON’T

  • 🌡️ Do not block any vents - the device requires airflow to prevent overheating.

  • 🔌 Do not unplug or move the device after onboarding without guidance from support.

  • ⚙️ Do not factory reset or manually reconfigure the device - this can remove it from the network.

  • 🏠 Do not deploy in residential areas - only commercial deployments are eligible for rewards.

  • 📡 Avoid placing the device in areas with poor signal visibility or near strong interference sources (e.g., industrial machines).


⚠️ 🚫 DO NOT PRESS THE RESET BUTTON

If your HOTSPOT1 has a reset button, do not press it. This will erase your device’s configuration and remove it from the Karrier One network. You will not be able to reconnect without help from our support team, or purchasing a new device.
